Memphis Grizzlies vs. Dallas Mavericks

Game 47 | American Airlines Center | 23 January 2022

The Bad News Bears are in town, or so… we thought. This hot Memphis team was looking for revenge in the American Airlines Center against a Dallas team, they know all too well. Playing four times in the season so far, the Mavericks have secured three wins, only giving up one game on the road. This is the last time these two teams will meet for the 2021-22 season and everyone is looking at the matchup of the point guards.

That’s right. Future NBA All Star selections, Ja Morant (Memphis Grizzlies) and Luka Doncic.

Both twenty-two year old Point Guards keep the league focused on their franchise. Putting up All-Star numbers night after night, the expectations were high for this matchup. This game was going to be key for the NBA All-Star Game taking place on February 20th, this was going prove which Point Guard from the Western Conference deserved a seat in Cleveland.

The Mavericks were dominate across the board, offensively and defensively. The Mavericks held the trailblazing Grizzlies under one hundred points while never giving up the lead, securing the win at 104-91.

And of course, the numbers we care about:

J. Morant: 35PTS, 13REB, 6AST, 1STL

L. Doncic: 37PTS, 11REB, 9AST, 3STL, 1BLK

So, if you’re asking me. Luka Doncic, welcome to Cleveland!
