Another historical night for #77, Luka Doncic is quite literally putting up video numbers on a daily basis. Putting up 51 points in a game two days ago against the Clippers, Doncic piggy backed off of his own success recording 45 points tonight. Doncic’s stat line over the last two games are better than the entire Cavaliers team against the 76ers tonight.

Thursday against the Clippers: 51PTS, 9REB, 6AST, 7-14 3PM

Tonight against the Clippers: 45PTS, 15REB, 8AST, 6-13 3PM

The heartbreaking thing is that, although Doncic was responsible for 46% percent of the Mavericks points; it wasn’t enough to secure the win. The Mavericks fell and lost their first game in four games 97 to 99.

This could be a combination of a lot of things. The Unicorn (Kristaps Porzingis) has been relocated to the Wizards, the “new guys” Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans haven’t made their contribution on the court yet and the Mavericks are ending their six game home stand. The Mavericks are preparing for a short road trip before the All-Star break where Luka Doncic will represent the Mavericks for the third year in a row.
