Los Angeles Clippers vs. Dallas Mavericks

Game 56 | American Airlines Center | 10 February 2022

What a night for #MFFL’s. What a night for Luka Doncic.

The twenty-two year old showed exactly why he is worth a five year, $207 million max deal when he scored 51 points in last night’s game. Luka Doncic recently was selected for his third NBA All-Star appearance, joining an elite list of company (Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant) all before the age of twenty-three. And if that is not enough, the league has recently referred to Doncic as a “walking triple-double” because he is averaging a triple-double.

If you some how missed last night’s game, I’ll break it down for you.

By the end of the first quarter, Doncic put up 28 points, so you knew he was on track for a great game.

Here was #77’s stat line: 28PTS, 3REB, 10/13 FG, 7/10 3PT (and it just kept getting better).

Doncic was unstoppable.

Finishing the night with: 51PTS, 9REB, 6AST, 1STL, 1BLK in 39 minutes.

In other news, the NBA trade deadline officially ended at 3:00 p.m. E.T. and sadly the Mavericks participated.

The Mavericks trade Kristaps Porzingis, to the Washington Wizards in exchange for Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans.

Was this a move for a playoff run? Time will tell. But as of right now, the Mavericks are riding on Luka Magic!
